Life Is...
"Life is too deep for words, so don't try to describe it, just live it." -C.S. Lewis, In Humanity
Life is short. At any given moment our life could come to an end. For some music is their passion. Others painting. Experiencing and sharing what you love with others is the true beauty of life.

Progress
"As for the future, your task is not to foresee but to enable it." -Antoine de Saint-Exupery
He was lying in the left lane of North Broad Street sprawled out like a snow angel. A group of hysterical people crowded around the wounded man, the gunman frozen. This is what I saw around midnight on Saturday, December 2, 2006. A man shot down in the middle of the street a few cars in front of me. The saddest part, this is a daily occurrence.
There have been 337 homicides in Philadelphia between January 1 and October 31, 2006. There have been beautification efforts, such as building a new houses on a few blocks in crime-ridden areas. Efforts such as these can help, but only to a certain extent. There are still serious problems embedded in the city. I don't see any significant progress, nor do I have the solution.
I will always remember the woman's face as she knelt beside the victim. A look of terror, disbelief and sadness.

Worship
"And what greater calamity can fall upon a nation than the loss of worship." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
We are selfish nation, worshipping ourselves. So wrapped up in our everyday lives we tuck our religious beliefs away until we have time in our busy schedules.
