"Rocky" Statue Ceremony: September 8, 2006

A father and his daughter were amid a crowd of at least 3,000 who gathered at the Rocky ceremony.

Seen through an opening of the giant movie screen, fans sit on the Philadelphia Musuem of Art's famous 72 front stone steps, waiting for the sun to set so they can watch the first Rocky film.



The bronze Rocky statue, weighs in at 2,000 pounds and is 8-foot-6-inches tall. The statue was relocated just north of the bottom of the museum steps.


Bottles of Sylvester Stallone's SLY Pure Glacial Water, were sold at the ceremony.


Fans run to try and catch a glimpse, or an autograph from Sylvester Stallone.
